Reason for Recommended Action/Background |
The Yolo County District Attorney's Office has been receiving the Specialized Emergency Housing Program grant from the California Governor's Office of Emergency Services since fiscal year 2017-18.
Through this grant, we have partnered with Empower Yolo and Shores of Hope to provide homeless/home insecure crime victims emergency shelter as well as intensive case management. These services reduce the chance of re-victimization and help break the homelessness cycle by providing an opportunity to achieve permanent housing and self-sufficiency.
In fiscal year 2019-20, the District Attorney's Office was not billed for grant cost for the month of April to June 2020. Those invoices were received in fiscal year 2020-21 and reimbursed with prior grant funds. This has made it necessary to increase appropriations by $75,000. |
