Approve the consolidation of elections and ballot measures for Washington Unified School District, the City of Winters, the City of Davis, and Davis Joint Unified School District set for November 3, 2020 with the General Election. (No general fund impact) (Salinas)
Recommended Action
Approve the requests of the following local jurisdictions to consolidate their elections and measures set for November 3, 2020 with the General Election as permitted under California Elections Code 10400 et seq.:
  1. Washington Unified School District Measure (Z)
  2. City of Winters Measure (A)
  3. City of Davis Measures (B) and (D)
  4. Davis Joint Unified School District

Reason for Recommended Action/Background
Elections Code sections 10401 et. seq. permit the Board of Supervisors to consolidate the elections of any legislative or congressional district, public district, city, county or other political subdivision called to be held on the same day with the regular statewide election.

Washington Unified School District, the City of Winters, the City of Davis, and Davis Joint Unified School District have each adopted resolutions calling for an election to be held on November 3, 2020. These entities have requested that the election be consolidated with the General Election scheduled for November 3, 2020.
