Reason for Recommended Action/Background
Over the last year it has become apparent that Judge Basha stands in the way of reforming the child dependency system in Yolo County.
Collaborations (including Board advisory groups and external partner agencies)
All of these items have been discussed over the last year in the Child Welfare Services subcommittee but these items did not advance to the Board of Supervisors as a result of the subcommittee action.  Supervisor Rexroad is bringing this item as an individual Board member.

Presiding Judge Gaard was notified of this action on April 4th. The County has attempted to set up a meeting between the Child Welfare Services Subcommittee members and Judge Gaard but the meeting request was declined on April 20th.
