Recommended Action
Adopt Authorized Position and Salary Resolution to implement changes in the Agriculture, Community Services, County Administrator, Financial Services, Health & Human Services Agency, Library, Probation and Public Defender departments.

Budgeted Amount: $951,909
Increase from 18/19 Budgeted Amount: $85,000

Source of Funds: 40% State/Federal, 28% fees, 23% general fund, 9% other
Explanation: All or a portion of this cost increase can be absorbed in 2018-19 through salary savings as a result of vacant positions. The need for additional funding will be evaluated and, if needed, included in the Adopted Budget.

Explanation: This position was approved by the Board during approval of the Recommended Budget for FY2018/19.  The additional cost is minimal and will be absorbed within existing budgeted amounts for salaries and benefits.

Increase from 18/19 Budgeted Amount: $0

Explanation: Given that some of these positions were budgeted at the middle of the salary range, the cost of this recommendation is still below those budgeted amounts.  As such, this recommendation has minimal impact on the budget for FY 18/19.
