- Authorize the Chief Financial Officer to sign the agreement amendment.

| Reason for Recommended Action/Background |
On September 27, 2016, the Board of Supervisors approved a participatory agreement with State of California Department of General Services and Citibank, N.A, for the Statewide Travel Program for the period of November 1, 2016 through October 31, 2019, with two year options to extend. The Statewide Travel Program is open to other governmental agencies including Cities, Counties, School districts and other agencies to participate.
By leveraging the statewide travel spend, the State gains the advantage of having better travel pricing available and can offer this to participating agencies. As a participant in the program, County departments can leverage this program to receive better travel prices when booking through the CalTravelStore website. The County will also be eligible for an annual rebate in the program depending on the travel spent as part of the program.
Executing the extension allows the County to continue participation in the program through October 31, 2021. |
