REASONS FOR RECOMMENDED ACTION |
At the September 26, 2013 LAFCo meeting, Commissioner Saylor requested a presentation regarding the County's Zoning Code Update currently in process. Staff coordinated this date for the presentation with County staff. |
BACKGROUND |
The County's Zoning Code Update program began three years ago in early 2010, soon after the 2030 Yolo Countywide General Plan was adopted. State law requires that following the adoption of a General Plan, all zoning and development regulations must also be updated and made consistent with all growth policies in the adopted plan.
Over the last three years, each of the sections of this Public Review Draft of the Zoning Code Update have been reviewed and informally approved for public review by the Planning Commission. The County’s citizens advisory committees and other interested parties also received copies of the individual sections of the Zoning Code Update as they were completed.
The Public Review Draft of the Zoning Code Update is in the middle of a five-month schedule of public workshops and hearings at the Planning Commission and the Board of Supervisors. |
