Reason for Recommended Action/Background |
Yolo County DESS has an existing contract with UC Davis Extension to provide staff development and other trainings. In response to recent events, DESS has requested that subject matter experts from UC Davis review the practices within Child Welfare Services. With the addition of these services, totaling $17,940, the total for all UC Davis/DESS contracts exceeds the $100,000 threshold and requires Board approval. The services provided within this contract include the following:
1. Five days of case file reviews and interviews with the focus on two areas of practice: a) the use and quality of Structured Decision Making tools, and b) the use of Safety Organized Practice, with specific focus on family networks and safety
2. Final written report and recommendations |
