In addition to the Federal funds included in this agreement, ADMH receives funding for match for the Drug Medi-Cal Program separately in the form of realignment. Based on the data and information currently available, it is projected that there will be sufficient realignment funds to cover the projected expenditures. However, it is important to note that because qualifying residents are entitled to services, and the state’s existing structure limits the department’s ability to lower costs by reducing service levels, the risk of insufficient realignment funds cannot be eliminated. |
