Recommended Action
Adopt budget resolution to add grant funds from the Violence Against Women Recovery Act Grant for the Probation Specialized Units Program increasing the Probation 2012-13 approved budget by $60,185.

Reason for Recommended Action/Background
The US Department of Justice, Cal EMA approved the Probation Department’s application for funding under the Violence Against Women Recovery Act Grant for increased intensive community supervision of offenders convicted of sexual assault in Yolo County in the amount of $80,247 for the period of October 1, 2012 – September 30, 2013 for the last of the three consecutive years of funding.

The grant funds will increase Probations budget by $60,185 for the period of October 1, 2012 - June 30, 2013 with the residual amount of $20,062 appropriated in Probations 2013-14 budget.
