Strategic Plan Goal(s)
Provide fiscally sound, dynamic and responsive services
Reason for Recommended Action/Background
On December 11, 2012, the Board of Supervisors approved the sale at a public auction via the Internet, for the stated minimum prices, the tax-defaulted properties that are subject to the Tax Collector’s power to sell. The schedule attached to the December 11, 2012 staff report contained minor clerical errors in the calculation of the minimum price.

Between December 11, 2012 and February 26, 2013 three properties have been redeemed (paid in full) and two properties withdrawn by the Tax Collector and therefore will not be included in the sale. These properties are noted on the attached schedule. As properties continue to be redeemed, they will be removed from the Internet sale. Property owners have until 5PM March 15, 2013 to redeem their property. The amounts reported on the attached revised schedule have been adjusted to correct the minor clerical errors, and update the subsequent payments of the December 10, 2012 installment of fiscal year 2012/13 taxes and roll changes. The minimum bid on the attached schedule represents the actual minimum bid published for the Internet sale.
